Jenny & Jud Savelle – Owners

Jud and Jenny are both alumni of Georgia Tech with post-graduate degrees in Industrial and Systems Engineering. They also are Black Belt Certified in Lean Six Sigma. After gaining experience and advancement in the corporate world, they decided to work with each other and start a new, challenging chapter by purchasing the family business.

At Bishop, Jud and Jenny team up to set the company mission, long-term and short-term goals, strategies, budget, HR related standards, service standards, pricing, and other key company decisions. Jud oversees the Commercial and Residential Floor Care division, as well as the Water and Fire Restoration division. Both divisions require expertise and certification related in cleaning, restoring, and safety methods. His team of staff holds numerous IICRC certifications along with many years of experience. If something can be cleaned, Bishop knows how.

Jenny oversees the Janitorial division. With over 140 buildings and 100 part-time employees, it’s the largest division of the company. Consistent, professional, and reliable service is what Jenny and her team strive for in servicing all our janitorial customers.

Our Story

Bishop Clean Care Inc. is a third generation family owned business founded in Albany, GA in 1952. Over the past 65 years, the business has grown and diversified as each generation brought in new ideas and values. What have sustained throughout the years are the quality of the service, the integrity of the business, and professionalism of the workplace.

Lanier Bishop was one of the original owners of Bishop Laundry and Cleaners in Albany, GA. The business grew tremendously during the 1960’s. The company eventually became Bishop Rug and Upholstery Cleaners, splitting off from the dry cleaning portion of the business and concentrating on the rug and upholstery cleaning. In the 70’s, Bishop Rug and Upholstery Cleaners ventured into fire and water damage restoration services and started its first janitorial account. As a result, we became Bishop Clean Care, Inc., developing into a more diversified cleaning company.

In the 1980’s, Patti Bishop Savelle, the daughter of Lanier Bishop became sole owner of the company. In the next thirty years, she continued to grow all three divisions of the business and became a leader in experience and techniques in the industry. Additionally, our janitorial division has grown to comprise over 50% of our production volume.

In 2009, Patti Bishop Savelle’s son and daughter-in-law, Jud and Jenny Savelle, purchased the family business and became 3rd generation owners to continue the family legacy. Jud and Jenny are both alumni of Georgia Tech with post-graduate degrees in Industrial and Systems Engineering. They also are Black Belt Certified in Lean Six Sigma. Community Care Fund

Giving Back To Our Neighbors in Need

At Bishop Clean Care we intentionally work to create an atmosphere of giving back to our community. Generosity is not only modeled by our owners but is seen out in the actions of our employees. Since 2015, the full-time staff of Bishop has donated $500 per year to a family in need at Christmastime, choosing to direct those funds to area youth at Open Arms. In 2018, they established the Community Care Fund to assist other Bishop Employees, as well as community members, who have experienced a disaster at any point in the year. They have committed to contributing $1K per year to this fund through payroll deduction. The 2018 Christmas gift was given to a family who lost all of their belongings in the December 1st flash flooding but had no FEMA assistance or insurance.
